Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation (DNS).

At our clinic, we offer Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation (DNS), a cutting-edge approach designed to optimise movement patterns and enhance neuromuscular function. DNS is based on the principles of developmental kinesiology, utilising the natural movement patterns that infants use to develop motor control. By retraining the body's stabilising system, DNS helps restore proper function, improve posture, and alleviate pain.

Our DNS sessions focus on:

  • Rehabilitation: Helping individuals recover from injuries by re-establishing efficient movement patterns.

  • Performance Enhancement: Assisting athletes in achieving peak performance through improved stability and control.

  • Pain Management: Addressing chronic pain by correcting dysfunctional movement and postural habits.

Group DNS Classes:

These are:

  1. Tuesday 5pm-6pm (located at Adamstown Uniting Church)

  2. Thursday 7-8am (located at Top Rock Studios)

Common Questions.

  • During a DNS session, the practitioner will assess your posture and movement patterns. Based on the assessment, you will be guided through a series of exercises designed to activate and strengthen specific muscle groups. These exercises often involve positions such as lying on your back, stomach, or side, and gradually progressing to more dynamic movements.

  • DNS can enhance athletic performance by improving movement efficiency, core stability, and muscle coordination. By optimising these factors, athletes can achieve better control, power, and endurance, reducing the risk of injury and enhancing overall performance.

  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for a full range of motion. Stay hydrated and avoid strenuous activity before your session. Your practitioner will provide specific instructions based on your individual needs and goals

  • DNS can be adapted to suit individuals of all ages and fitness levels. It is particularly beneficial for those with chronic pain, movement dysfunctions, or athletes seeking to enhance performance. Your practitioner will tailor the exercises to your specific needs and capabilities.
