Inger Villadsen - Chiropractor

D.C. M.Sc (Clin Epi) Postgrad.Dip. NMS Rehabilitation

Inger was born in Denmark and studied chiropractic at Odense University and Anglo European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, England graduating in 1985. After working for 3 years in Europe, Inger migrated to Australia and commenced private practice in 1988. Her main clinical interests are the rehabilitation of chronic conditions and the implementation of preventative measures against reoccurrence for patients presenting with back pain. Inger’s practice focus also particularly includes the athletic enhancement of elite performers. 

Laura Kippist - Chiropractor​

B.Sc. (Chiro), M.Sc.

Laura graduated from Macquarie University, Sydney in 2007. She began working at Nineways not long after she graduated then after a short stint gaining experience in Brisbane in 2011 she rejoined the team at Nineways in July 2013. Laura's philsophy is to provide high quality treatment which is specifically prescribed for individual conditions using a variety of techniques. Her main areas of interest in practice are in the rehabilitation of acute and chronic spinal disorders.

Itamar Steigrad - Chiropractor

B.Sc. (Chiro), M.Sc.

 

Itamar was born in Zurich and grew up in Bondi, Sydney. He has been an avid practitioner of Parkour for over a decade and loves swimming and cycling. Finishing his Chiropractic Masters at Macquarie University in 2015, he briefly worked and then travelled across Asia and Europe to take part in Parkour events. Whilst doing so, he treated and worked with athletes from beginners to the very elite, many athletes also presented with a significant range of biomechanical problems.Upon returning, he was able to orchestrate his desired move to Newcastle to join the Nineways team. Itamar’s clinical approach strongly focuses on addressing and correcting an individual’s deficiencies in the way they move, generally function and in the case of children, play. 

Rebecca Williams - Massage Therapist

Remedial Massage Therapist

Rebecca is a qualified remedial massage therapist with further credentials as a fitness instructor and in human nutrition. Her qualifications and experience include training in Swedish relaxation techniques, deep tissue and myofascial release, trigger point therapy, PNF stretching and sports massage. Rebecca also conducts Nineways DNS exercise classes.

Martin Vaughan - Massage Therapist

Remedial Massage Therapist

Martin is an experienced practitioner who specialises in Therapeutic, remedial, and sports massage, myofascial release and trigger point therapy. Martin is a member of the ATMS and is registered with all major health funds that provide rebates for remedial massage.

John Sweaney - Retired Chiropractor/Director

AM, DC, D.Sc (Hon), FICC, FACC

John is an independent chiropractic education consultant principally working in Australia and Japan. He graduated as a chiropractor from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1968, served as the President of the Australian Chiropractors Association from 1978-80 and as its Executive Director for 12 years. John was President of the World Federation of Chiropractic for 3 years and served on its Executive for 12 years. He is an Executive member of Chiropractic Education Australia and is President and Chairman of Hands on Health Australia, a multi-disciplinary charity organisation with educational service and research programmes within Australia and a number of Asian locations working with marginalised communities.

Kara Hayes - Chiropractor

BSc, DC

Kara received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 2014. Prior to migrating to Australia, Kara
volunteered as an associate clinician with World Spine Care in Botswana. Since 2015, she has completed numerous courses in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization through the Prague School of Rehabiliation.
